Curious about the KSSN requirement from gyopo may know about this?

So basically, I don't have Korean citizenship but I used to have F4 visa, which in essence pretty much lets you do anything (work permit included) except maybe voting (sorta like permanent residency in Korea but you have to renew it every 2 years or so for small fee. It is specifically designed for Koreans living overseas who have parents or grandparents who were citizen of South Korea (which routinely piss off other foreigners and Koreans who moved out before the formation of South Korea (ex. Chosen dynasty or during Japanese occupation over Korea during WWII era). I remember seeing some kind of number on my F4 ID card... but I don't know if that's equivalent of temp. Korean social insurance number or if it's something else. Would I be able to substitute that when registering for Korean online games, like Maplestory?

There's something called a foreigner registration number. It works like the KSSN. The format would be the same as a KSSN: (6 digits of your birthday) - (7 digits of ID number).
