    MapleStory "Scissor Limitation" System

All credits are attributed to 기획팀 of Kaluna,(Visit his naver blog for more conspiracy theories! http://blog.naver.com/manager_ods)
@Yoon and @Timgoon worked with me for this post. Yoon and I divided up into two parts for translation; Tim did the images.

    In the 1.2.456 KMST patch notes, there are some information as stated below;

-On items with a "equip" level of 140 or higher has a "able to psok'd" option.

-You can use the platinum karma's for the allowed amount of trades.

-When the trade limit count reaches 0, the item is restricted from transfers.

-If a item has a "equip" level of 140 or more, it receives random stats as well as a "psok trade limit".

If you look at the vague patch notes above, it seems as though Empress Items, (which are already level 140), and Tyrant items,(which are 150) are affected by these bizarre "sok limit" and a lot of players were in a state of chaos, and raging hard.

For confirmation, I (the author) tested this in the test server.

The following is a level 110 Dragon Khanjar.

Because of this blasphemous patch, a Dragon Khanjar can also be level 120, 130, 140, and 150.
When its level is over 140, it receives a "Able to be karma'd 20 times" option.
If you have never equipped it, it will say "untradeable when equipped". (Although it's clean, the item's stats are crazy)

Once you equip it, it becomes "untradeable", and a caption saying "able to be Platinum Karma'd 20 times" appears.

To trade this item, you need a 5900nx item called the Platinum Karma.

With the use of Platinum Scissors, the item is "tradeable once", and the Scissor limit becomes 19, one reduced from the original count of 20.

When you trade the item once, it will become untradeable once again, and you need another Platinum Karma to trade the item.

Then what happens to the concurrent level 140 equipment?

Here is a level 140 Dragontail Warstaff, an item that's originally level 140.
If you have never equipped it before it will say "untradeable once equipped".
But the option for Scissor limit doesn't show anywhere!

Thinking that the scissor limit will come up upon equipping, I equipped it.
    The staff became "untradeable"
and I could see the words "You can trade once if you use Platinum Karma Scissors."
but I still couldn't see the scissor limit anywhere on the staff.

I tried using Platinum Karma Scissors to see if the scissor limit would pop up after doing so.

The staff is now "tradeable once" but it still does not have the sissor limit.

I tried trading once to see if the scissor limit would pop up, but still no sign.

The experiment results showed that normal equips that went over level 140(due to random options) but originally are levels 100/110 will get the scissor limit options but equipments that were level 140+ to start with like Empress equips do not get them.

This might be fixed by later updates but as for right now, that is not the case.

I don't really like the fact that there is a Scissor Limitation System but I think Nexon have their own reasons for creating this system.

Nexon's motive for everything they do is: make more money.

    Nice formatting June.
