    Merchanting

    Hello all!

I have always been curious about how people merchant in the world of MapleStory and I never could quite get to the point of having enough money to even put my toes in the merchanting pool. Now with 140m I want to begin and I do not quite understand how to start. So i was wondering if anyone had any good tips on items or patterns in the market that they'd like to bless me with :) Thanks guys!

Some go bossing, and sell Strange cubes for 2m each.
Work your way up to be able to buy NX, and then sell it.

Is there any specific bosses that are great to go for? I mean I had an idea of redoing all the zak quests to sell eof's but that'll be super time consuming

in KMS, EoF are much easier to get now.

Most people go Hilla, and then RA for the cubes.

Well since this is GMS (I think), I'm going to say 140m isn't enough to go make some big profits just yet. I mean, you could buy some items (Chaos and Aee scrolls) low and sell em high, but for bigger profits, I'd suggest over 500m at least. If you have a high leveled character, I'd really suggest boss runs... maybe try things like root abyss and get lucky with the weapon boxes, which can contain no-boom weapons. From what I know, the katara and daggers can be worth anywhere from 1b+, which will let you start merching semi-effectively. But remember, buying a shop w/ NX is always the key to higher profits, cause you can sell it for more :D My suggestion: Just boss RA or slowly make your way up there my merching small items (Do note it's harder to sell high without a shop) Hope it helps you a bit! If I redownloaded GMS, I'd gladly give you another 140m for you to merch with D: But at the moment it's not on my computer ):

I second what @TheCommon said, doing small boss runs and things like RA and watnot will help allot, but in any case successful merchanting is almost not possible without an FM shop, I know it sucks but gms is very much a pay 2 win game these days lol

yeah, as an old school mapler I can't believe how much the economy has broken over the years. But, that's just my point of view. Curious to know how crazy it is in KMS

I realize this is a somewhat old post, but if you're still looking for merchanting help, the first key to success is research! Check the FM everyday. Browse the shops and see what's commonly selling; also be sure to take note of their price range. My sister is more into merchanting than myself, but she literally had pages of notes before she started to memorize the common selling trends. There's not anything really specific I can point you to. There just isn't any 1-trick ponies to start making big bucks unless you're willing to spend real money on this game (Gachapon, Style Boxes, Selling NX, etc.).

Just realize that 140mil isn't a lot. You'll be buying cheap items and making small profit, but everyone starts from somewhere. Good luck!

I would recommend buying Demon Avenger books at the moment, they'll at least double when the class comes out.

Yeah I agree with @Aethuall once DA is released, they'll skyrocket. Also if you can get xenon books cheap, also another good alternative
