KMS MYTHS & ASSUMPTIONS
NX items drop in KMS! :D
Truth be told, i was baited by this too, but sorry, false, if this happened kms's nx rate wouldn't be that high.
KMS has a better exp rate! ^_^
Sorry, still 1x. While some users agree that leveling in kms is easier, that's all really up to debate.
Midnight ban applies at -inserttimezonehere-'s midnight to 6 am.
uh...no. its Korea's midnight.
Oh! Since leafre is here, we don't need koreans!
I cannot begin to tell you how MUCH you are wrong. Since many people in leafre quit after 120+, you have almost no real choice to pq with koreans. While sometimes you will find a party with leafre or Ellinforest, most of the time now, i have to pq with koreans.
If you're lucky, you'll get into a "gen" with actives, but if you're not, you'll almost never see people the same level as you in leafre.
Leafre's levels/population (at the moment) have the tendency to work against your favor.
Bottom line: If you just try to pq with leafre, you're not gonna get to 120 as fast as you would with koreans.
Learn to work with koreans, that is the greatest skill you can learn to survive in kms.
Why play KMS? KMS vs. GMS
Okay, I will list all the pros and cons of KMS:
Cons (because ppl like bad news first)
Timezone Difference ( IE Sometimes they're less people to pq when you're awake, Korea is one day ahead of everyone to the west of international date line, Less ppl to boss with, ETC)
Midnight Ban: Refer to this: http://leafre.net/showthread.php?210...&prefixid=Info
Language Barrier: (Usually fine if you have some intuition)
NO NLC, SINGAPORE, ZIPANGU, SHOWA (this brings a whole SLEW of situations. Not only does that mean no Scar/Targa/CWKPQ/BodyGuards, but the items that come from them. (Violent snowshoes, Elemental wands/staffs, Doomsday staff, pyogo mushroom, Mark of Narcain)
Nerfed Gachapon(?) (meaning no items that come from them, namely Dragon Khanjar and khanjar.)
No GMS event exclusive items (duh?)
Loot lag/pot lag (2nd case is for slower internet/bad comp people, fixable by pets or spam pots faster [Pet Meso/Item pick up, pet HP/MP Potion slot]
NX is a bit more expensive (CN-USA charges a dollar extra per $10)
PVP Sucks ('cause of lag; it's still farmable though)
No APQ
different neo tokyo, nerfed scarga, etc
Zakum, HT had their drop rates nerfed (unconfirmed for other bosses, czak is still the same, however)
HIlla's annoying. (DR isn't consistent sometimes)
KMS is a little slow on weekdays unless you have a active group you can do stuff with.
You kinda rely on the Herbalist/Alchemy professions for a while, if not forever/really long time
Pros
you "grow up" with the leafre alliance, making new buddies from pqs as you go (this to me is what i love about leafre, we all kinda grew up together, in what i call "gens")
FM usually has quite a bit of merchants up (some of the items are total rips though)
First Access to new Content (thief and pirate revamp baby. oh yes.)
Nx items can be LEGALLY TRADED.
Better cash shop (New hairstyles and eyes before gms? make your character look stylish AND exclusive kms styles)
Lots of events in kms (Some events are geared towards lower levels, however)
When kms puts a time on when maintenance are done, they are ON TIME. (its rare to extend them, while gms... eh...)
Hilla's drop rate of weapons/books makes it an okay boss.
Koreans can be pretty cool
HIlla requires no prequests (for those of you who hate zak jq)
What Class is the fastest to train?
Anything with OP mobbing = easy to train.
There's also an enjoyment factor to it, if you like Bams better than arans or Evans, play a BaM.
OMFG WHAT CLASS DO I PLAY IN KMS THEY ALL LOOK SO L337
Well, here's a mouthful.
IN MY OPINION, YOU SHOULD PLAY THE CLASS IS THE CLASS THAT LOOKS THE MOST INTERESTING TO YOU!
Most of the time, that's the OP class that just came out. BE sure to ask/find out what classes are restricted
I DID IT! I MADE A CHARACTER THAT I <3 AND CHERISH FOREVER! NOW WHAT?
Well, first of all, make a post in the buddy list section with your ign, so i or the other jrs can add you and we can have lots of convos and stuff, we're also your PQ buddies that speak English.
Get to 120, by either pqs or training, there's guides for that. Also i recommend you go secondary stat less unless you're a non dawn warrior CK. But the path is yours to take, you can go high secondary stat, low secondary stat or No secondary stat, i will not discuss this here, because most guides have a pretty good rundown on this.
Once you hit 120 ( or required level), i recommend you do the following prequests in this particular order.
1. DRPQ ( best source of EXP/Power exliers post 120, also gives nice equips (lv 100 gear), plus a durability weapon (level 105)
2. Papulatus (ludi cape and a decent source of money selling pap drops, you can switch this with zak if you want)
3. Zakum (El nath Smexy +15 stat if clean helm, NOTE: the last step is 30 hector tails, and I HIGHLY RECOMEND YOU DO THIS IF YOUR CLASS REQUIRES SKILL BOOKS FROM ZAK Bishop, Aran, Evan, Hero, Night lords. Also you can do this starting at 50, but i recommend it only if you have lots of pots, free time or skills that can help surpass monsters, aka dark sight, you also should have lots of hp.)
4. Crosshunter (equips that are smexy galore, you can do this alot earlier than 120 also: here's a guide: http://leafre.net/showthread.php?20-...er-Quest-Guide
5. Golden Temple (coolio medal/MMB for class(?)
Where do i train at "insertlevelhere"?
http://leafre.net/showthread.php?120...e-to-Level-200 Credits to imaginal. You're welcome.
Culverin's story and what its like
Culverin is the world the Leafre alliance resides in, along with other English players. Culverin's has lots of full fm slots, ranging with popular items such as Angelic Blessing Rings to pretty much everything else. Culverin is merged with Fleta, Medere, and Galacia (thanks to This: http://leafre.net/showwiki.php?title=Integrated+Worlds Culverin is a DEAD zone on weekdays if you're in PST, if you're on in the korean afternoon of Korean Saturday/Sunday, you're set for life, it becomes a much more populated server. (especially after Midnight ban, and ALSO ESPECIALLY during noonish Sundays / noonish late Saturdays) Note: these times are coming from Korean time.
For a world to be INTEGRATED, it means to be "connected" to each other, meaning you can see people from Medere, Galacia, and Fleta.
This means you can put up to 12 characters into the same "world" (ie, mercedes in culverin can meet up with Paladin in Medere)
What will be shared between charcters in different worlds ( other than the fact you can see each other):
What WON'T be:
- Cyngus / Regular Charcter Blessings
- Link Skills from legend charcters
- Storage (Ie mercedes in culverin can't get items that cannon shooter in Galacia put into storage)
David's Guide to Ultimate Success in KMS, Step by Step, Level by Level
Okay. We'll start from the top to making money, if you ever get a scroll, try to sell it to alliance or in FM. Especially if that said scroll involves the LUK stat.
All the times possible while grinding, you wanna pick up mesos, and sell everything you pick up you don't need (including etcs)
Do required quests for potions and whatnot. Shouldn't have that much trouble at these levels.
Ding! Level 30!
If this is your first character, Accept the quest from the old man, go to Adrentmil, finish his quest, and choose herbalism/alchemy. (only 2 female npcs) ALCHEMY IS THE BEST INVESTMENT YOU CAN EVER MAKE IN YOUR KMS CAREER.
If your budget allows it, start getting to a decent level ASAP, Your Alchemy should be at a decent level to hold up for all the crap your character is gonna go through at higher levels.
But for now, Just buy tickets and materials, and get started on your road to max alchemy.
Idealy, you want to be able to farm golden flowers for two reasons (3rd one's for a special case)
1. It's hell of a lot cheaper and faster (for me anyway)
2. More / Better pots
3. You can sell these pots to other people in bulk, for a price of mostly likely, your choosing (Lots of $$$$ in your pocket)
The downside to this is that the etc filled items you get are RANDOM, but to me that doesn't really matter, since golden flowers are pretty frequent if you know where to find them. This also requires a level of alchemy where you can use it to level up and still have 100% chance of making potions, and this isn't fully effective till max level or level 9 (you can't even really "start" until level 5 alchemy)
you can farm almost anywhere, but just be sure this is a fast class (ideally you need to shuffle through maps pretty fast, so a phantom or mercedes or evan works nicely here) i'm not going to give out any exact locations, but i have a theory based of observations over the months.
Anywho, that's a way to get started, reason why i don't care about equips is because its not really worth having till 120, and you can get by on whatever you can find.
Moving on, DING! LEVEL 70!
just kidding, continue grinding and selling/pickup mesos and items. Equips sell for a decent amount here. AT level 75, you can start the crosshunter quest line (which gives lots of potions and nice stuff)
Ding! LEVEL 120!
This is when you'll probably either A: max out alchemy or B: have the actual funds to continue.
But this is an area worth mentioning, because you can do lots more to make money.
For starters, start papulatus prequests, and kill the poor bastard two times, picking up drops and selling them for money, ( I recommend you only sell MP pots, as the other pots are EXTREMELY USEFUL)
Do Dragon rider Party Quest's prequests, which requires a dew (the expensive 5000 mp one), this allows you to solve your equipment and weapon problems for a little bit, and also in certain cases, allows you to farm Power Elixirs and Elixirs.
Next, zakum can do the same thing as Pap, but MORE of it!
And now, after a while of paping and DRPQing, you should have shit loads of pots and equips, and now you can freely grind and PQ without a worry or a care.
You should have enough pots and money you can sell, and you'll have no need to beg koreans and alliance for items and whatnot.
PARTY QUESTING (PQ) WITH KOREANS!
Party Quests are a series of quests you do with other characters in a party (default hot key P) and by talking to an npc to start a pq, a series of events/trials occur. for a full rundown on these events, refer to here: http://leafre.net/showwiki.php?title=PQ+Revamp
However, this guide doesn't tell you what to do with koreans, so i'll start by listing a few steps to take to not fear these koreans.
If you need to know how to talk in korean, refer here: http://leafre.net/showthread.php?35-...h-Supermarioz5
First, in general, koreans have the tendancy to leave after 1 pq. IDK WHY, they just do. Strangely enough, if you're a good leader,
they'll most likely stay. If you're a bishop, well, you'll get into parties easily. Leading your own party generally works a bit more than just opening party search (Hotkey O), and just clicking on the blue buttons, praying that they'll accept you.
Pre-step: Koreans will add (or if you add them, doesn't matter) to the party. Once you have the right amount of people, koreans will spam a number in pink/red ( party chat [default key:2], IE: korean types in 222222 in a long column in party or regular chat. this means to go to channel 2.
Step 1: Know how to do your PQ. By this, you'll prevent mistakes and annoying koreans, giving them no reason to yell at you if you're doing everything right.
Step 2: Don't talk. English Speakers are often ignored, kicked out of the party, or even harassed. Try using alliance chat or whispers (default keys 5 or H respectively)
Step 3: NEVER go away from your keyboard (afk), this causes koreans to get frustrated and leave (this only happens if the pq is finished and you ARE afk.)
step 4: wash, rinse, and repeat. Koreans will either not talk to you or just ignore you completely, but still allow you to pq, when you're done with all pqs, leave party and walk out.
How to speed run PQs!
Pretty much all pqs: be OP, after every pq, change channels (if Koreans in party, follow Koreans), a good leader, having lots of
people in MOST cases helps.
Henesys PQ: kill pigs and pick up/plant seeds fast, then use a weak mob skill to bait the monsters, go away from the moonbunny, and tank all the shots. do this till 10 cakes.
k(erning) PQ: team work and awesome clicking + being OP
Ice knight: Just protect ice knight to the best of your ability.
Subway PQ: Spam your fastest and best mobbing move, camp in front of portal. (no real way to speedrun)
Ludi PQ: Have lots of people + if possible, a mercedes with leap tornado so you can cheat the 1st boxes stage, try not to fall off in the crack (where you have to kill those eyes) stage. Bring Holy waters + eyedrops if possible. Evans and other class that can bypass ladders make the first stage go by that much quicker.
Pyramid PQ: just be OP, help others if they need help. use totems in a tight spot.
Magatia PQ: trust me, you DO not want to speed run this, but to speed things up, try to actually do the JQ, Have a mage, and collect the jugs to fill the beaker ( click on the beaker), most people usually just kinda grind here for some reason. Bring waters/eye drops.
Orbis PQ: Be very good guessers, it helps to know if you know what color record today is, also Mercedes with leap tornado works here too.
Ellin Forest PQ: Be very good guessers, try to KB the Weapon attack blocking caterpillars, have lots of people.
Pirate PQ: Pets, seriously. Or make sure everyone loots. in the doors stage, try to get 4 keys before you shut doors.
DRPQ (Dragon Rider): Arans with Combo tempest help lots in the 1st and 2nd stage. Have a person take top portal area and camp there until the clear sign shows up also helps. Warning: final boss area LAGS. Other than that, not too much to say.
KentaPQ: Bring Holy waters and eyedrops. LOTS OF THEM. it also helps if you can drag monsters towards you (ie Dark chains), or have a Attacks with a long range (Flame wheel for example), in the stage where you protect kenta, you can just go to the bottom and camp there, if you're really lazy. Last stage, dear lord, just survive, i don't care HOW, just attack and pot like mad.
PrisonbreakPQ: OMFG. THIS PQ. have experience JQers, combo tempest may work here, not too sure. Be also good guessers. nothing else you can really do at that point.
Hoblin: Just... stay near the npc. seriously. fails will kill your exp rate here, and if he dies, that's also a fail. (no real way to speed run this)
DAVID! I WANNA BE SECONDARYSTATLESS IN KMS WITHOUT FUNDING! WHAT TO DO?
If you're planning to make an adventurer class, you should consider it for UA status, check Leafre and Southperry for updated skills and benefits of UA Status
To be secondary stat less but equip the same equips as a regular/low is a HUGE advantage, it puts you on the same field as Regulars and Lows, but gets rid of all the existing cons. The only con to this is that it requires events/money/time/motivation.
Totally Overhauling this.
I NEED MS SUBSISTENCE AND/OR LOTS OF ADVANCED, DETAILED INFO
Keep in mind, these sources MAY NOT BE ACCURATE. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

WANNA MERCH IN KMS WITH NX? OPEN THIS AWESOME
According to @NatureGreen , this is what you should merch. To find the prices you should sell at, find the rate and do simple calculations:
Ex: Nx rate 1:13, item that costs 2k nx would be worth 26mil in mesos.
Advanced way: (You're probably gonna want a calculator for this.)
Set up a ratio (remeber to keep labels the same and the same labels on the top and bottom)
Like: 1,000 (NX) : N (The Cost of the item you want to sell in sheer nx)
- -
13,000,000 (The meso rate) ? (the amount you want to sell the item for PER item not in the milllion format)
Cross multiply, then
Divide both sides.
You're allowed to guess if you don't like this idea, this gets a precise decimal amount.
Stuff you should get if its your first
The item(s) you want to sell
a merchant (depending on what you want to sell, usually a store merchant works better than player merchants, since if you dc, the store closes. Things can usually sell for a bit more in merchant stores)
A fast character (For example, a warrior who tries to get a slot in a popular fm ch will have less of a chance than a phantom or a Mercedes)
After your first, you can just put in the item(s) you want to sell, renew your merchant as necessary.
But getting to the topic: (These aren't listed in a particular order)
sell: Master / Legendary cubes
Regular cubes
Owl of Minveras
Super megaphones
