    I guess everyone here probably have seen the class known as aran,if you came to this guide it means you want to learn about him or get some tips right?
    Well let's get started shall we?

    1. Who is aran and what does he do?


      Aran is the Warrior Legend class that utilizes an intriguing "Combo" system to deal massive mobbing damage while wielding a Polearm.
      So what is this Combo system?
      Simple, every hit grants 1 combo point. Upon reaching 10 points (cumulatively until 100), Aran will get a stacking buff that grants Speed and Attack. In 3rd job, this buff will also grant Critical Chance. Because of this, Aran has high mobility and damage.
      So does that mean Aran is not party-friendly?
      Not at all. Thanks to Aran's trusty Polearm, Maha, he can use party skills such as
      • Maha BlessingMaha Blessing: 30 Stack-able W/MATK
      • MightMight: Effect Allows you to pin down bosses/mobs very good for party bosses.
      • Final ChargeFinal Charge: Stuns+Rushs mobs to help your party
      • Combo BarrierCombo Barrier: Makes your party take 20% less damage while giving extra physical defense+magical defense.


    2.Heroic "Pros" Foolish "Cons"
    Aran has these following pros
    1.Almost don't use pots thanks to Combo Drain.
    2.Good party buff Maha Blessing.
    3.Powerful even when you don't have fund.
    4.High attack speed.
    5.Extra 40% Defense ignore and extra 20% bossing damage for free thanks to Cleaving Attack
    6.At 4th job he got stance thanks to Freeze Standing

    Aran has these following cons
    1.Lowest hp warrior class.
    2.Needs 4 skill books for 4th job.
    3.Not very mobile when there isn't combos.
    4.Might be Mana hungry.
    5.Might be inconvenient to new players.
    6.Scales down comparing to some classes when highly funded.

    Press the attack key twice to deal a double attack on up to 8 enemies.
    Master level of 20=MP Cost: 5, Damage: 250%, Max Enemies Hit: 8

    Combo Ability
    Combo Ability
    For every 10 Combo Count, gain Weapon Attack, Defense, and Speed.
    Master level of 10=Weapon ATT: +3, Physical and Magical Defense: +20, Speed: +3%, Stacks up to 10 times

    Press a direction key twice to quickly move a short distance.
    Master level of 5=MP Cost: 5, travel a short distance, Speed: +15%, Maximum Speed: +20%

    Increases the attack speed of your weapon. Must have a polearm equipped.
    Master level of 20=MP Cost: 11, Duration: 200 sec, Weapon Speed: -3

    Combo Smash
    Uses the polearm to fire a burst of energy at enemies in front of you. Can only be used when your [Combo Count is 15 or higher].

    I max "double swing" first for the high damage then "Combat step" and "Combo Ability" for mobility,I leave polearm booster at 16 since it is -3 Speed and pretty high duration,i max combo smash last since it isn't very useful but you will need it maxed for other skills

    Master level of 20=Polarm Mastery: +50%, Accuracy: +120, Weapon Speed: -1

    Final Charge
    Final Charge
    Charge forward, knocking back enemies in your path. Can only be activated after using Triple Swing and has a chance to stun the enemy.
    Master level of 10=MP Cost: 29, Damage: 230%, Max Enemies Hit: 10, Stun Rate: 30%, Stun Duration: 10 sec

    Body Pressure
    Body Pressure
    Temporarily enables Body Attacks on enemies. Attacked enemies may be incapacitated for 5 seconds.
    Master level of 10=MP Cost: 20, Duration: 180 sec, Body Attack Damage: damage 400%, Incapacitate Rate: 40%, Incapacitate Duration: 5 sec


    Combo Drain
    Combo Drain
    Activates a buff that absorbs a portion of damage received as HP. Can only absorb up to 20% of your Max HP. Can only be used when your [Combo Count is 30 or higher].
    Master level of 10=Duration: 240 sec, Recovers 10% damage as HP

    Snow Charge
    Snow Charge
    Permanently increases your damage. When activated, your polearm will be infused with ice, allowing you to slow enemies.
    Master level of 10=MP Cost: 33, Duration: 200 sec, Enemy Speed: -40, Slow Duration: 20 sec, Passive Effect - Damage: +35%

    Combo Fenrir
    Combo Fenrir
    Unleashes the aura of a pack of wolves on the enemy, hitting them twice. Can only be used when your [Combo Count is 50 or higher].
    Master level of 10=Damage: 480%, Max Enemies Hit: 8

    Physical Training
    Permanently increases Strength and Dexterity.
    Master level of 10=Strength: +30, Dexterity: +30

    Final Attack
    Final Attack
    Grants a chance to deal additional damage after an attack. Must have a polearm equipped.

    If you will notice i mostly take more offensive at the start since these are the levels where i think aran needs a little damage buff,i max drain asap after that since you will do enough damage to heal alot,i try to grab afa at start as well since you will mostly pq during these levels and it will be ludi pq with alishar that has pretty much alot of hp so you will need extra attack.
    You don't need fenrir since you need only 10 points for it to get Combo Judgement


    5.POWERUP! (3rd job build.)

    Master level of 20=Double Swing: MP Cost: , Damage: 205%, Number of Hits: 2, Triple Swing: MP Cost: , Damage: 570%, Combo Smash Damage: +50%

    Combo Critical
    Combo Critical
    Increases your Critical Hit Rate and Maximum Critical Damage. Each time your Combo Count increases by 10, your Critical Hit Rate will also increase.
    Master level of 20=Critical Hit Rate: +20%, Maximum Critical Damage: +20, For every 10 Combo count, Critical Hit Rate: +3%, Stacks up to 10 times

    Final Toss

    Lifts multiples enemies in front of you into the air. Airborne enemies take more damage. Can only be used after Triple Swing.

    Jump up and spin, doing damage to nearby enemies with a chance of stunning them.
    Master level of 20=MP Cost: 35, Damage: 160%, Number of Hits: 4, Max Enemies Hit: 6, Stun Rate: 90%, Stun Duration: 2 sec

    Temporarily improve your weapon attack, defense, and reduce the damage required to knock back an enemy.
    Master level of 20=MP Cost: 30, Duration: 120 sec, Weapon ATT: +25, Physical Defense: +215, Magical Defense: +215, Damage required to knock back a monster: 10%

    Combo Recharge
    Combo Recharge
    Consumes HP and MP to instantly boost Combo Count. Cannot be used when HP is below 50%.

    I prefer to take full swing first since it's direct upgrade to most of your moves and because you will do pqs,then i take combo critical since it is upgrade to your critical damage and rate.
    After that we max attacking buffs so you will deal much more damage and we take cleaving attack right after that so you will much stronger mobber,combo recharge is essential to your drain/dps/combo judgement.
    Final toss then for little better mobbing in mpq and rolling spin left at 11 since it's very essential in 4th job and i prefer to take it to support my combos if i lose them.

    7.Tips
    1.If you have 100+ combos and you need drain at 3rd job use Combo Recharge after it so you won't lose damage from combos.
    2.At 4th job it is more useful to use Final Toss to kill mobs.
    3.On the start of pqs use Maha's Blessing
    4.Combo attacks are nice but it is better pre-4th job to use Full Swing+100 combos for the mobility.
    5.Remember to get the "Willpower of Alliance" (Adds +5 atk and +5 all stat,to get it you will need to do level 63 quests at ef,guide will come soon) and the "Regained Memory" skill at level 120 (Xhunter quests/Akyrum quests) It adds "Aran exclusive skill that can be obtained through the Arkarium quests. Permanently increases ATT +10, Weapon DEF +300, Speed +10, Critical Rate +5%, and Additional 5% damage when attacking a boss monster"
    6.I highly suggest that you will do normal mode hilla for the skill books.
    7.Put "Attack" On shift,x,a these places are easier to reach then "ctrl".
    8.You can also use Xpadder for aran
    9.Getting boss damage>Ignore Def.
    10.Get some practice on the combo system combination.
    11.You should take 4 dex and put only in str

    8.The Ideal weapon for you.

    1)
    I find this weapon as the best you can get simply because it is easy to get it,it give extra crit,you can get free tablets for it from drpq,it has the same speed as psb but higher attack it is great weapon that any aran can get and scroll for free as well you can craft from it the level 110 one which has rare pot the only fatal con it has is that nasty durabillty.
    2) Sweet weapon you can get for 500k-5m and 110-112 atk one for 10-20 mill it is sweet since you can get it eariler then machler and it gives you free speed which is great for someone like aran it has nice attack and almost any mapler can get one of these as well you can upgrade it with any scroll you like but unlike the machler/cygnus pole/130 pole this dosen't have good green line stats.
    3)
    This weapon imo is the best but getting it isn't easy it has same attack as machler but more slots and you can scroll it with every scroll,you can get this from aswan/pvp i would prefer machler if you can't get it from aswan for 825 rusted coins or 30 tokens from pvp this has sweet looking as well
    4) The best polearm in the game sadly it costs 1-1.3 bill to get it so it isn't really relevant to you.
    Imo one of these polearms will be simply the best for you.

    1.Get to level 120
    2.Go to Temple of time
    3.Go right untill the end of the map
    4.Talk with
    5.Go to the secret portal and talk with the goddess of time
    6.Talk with bastille again
    7.Enter the portal and talk with crow
    8.Go right and do sheryl quest (kill 50 dragons)
    9.After you're done go right and talk with maha/aran in the past!
    10.They will ask you to get 50 broken maha pieces :(
    11.Turn them in and you got the skill + a chair
    12.Enjoy

    Hmmm, Yeah I saw the skill bbcode, and was wondering what the hell the links were for. Anyway long story short I just assumed they were for the skills, but then realized the skill bbcode was there so I thought they were showing what the skill looked like when used...

    Just suggesting a few things... Try not to overuse the skill bbcode... it kinda looks ugly to see it everywhere. Try to use the skill names more and not the bbcode. Also, I suggest taking out the paragraph that is striked out...

    Well esplen over used the bbcode i see here some changes i didn't do,thanks for the ideas any other ones?

    Hmmm, aside from just touching up grammar, none that I can see except the obvious finished 3rd and 4th build... Maybe touch up the training guide... it's vague... or even link to another training guide...


    Fapple, stop posting so much in this thread, just list all of the things that need to be fixed/added in one post.

    Regardless, as I explained before, when I'm doing big changes such as paragraphs, I'm going to use this so that people can see the difference in case what I did was wrong.

    As for the other changes, blahblahblah mostly the guide needs to be FINISHED.

    Once it's finished, I'll polish and prettify it.

    @SnipedByYou , stop posting here unless it's a serious comment and not a minor edit/fix, I've most likely already notified Proer.

    @Proer , finish the guide before I do any more. Plus, all I offered to do was prettify it, not be your slave.

    Let me say a few things that i found that could use a little bit of improvement or to be added in altogether.
    Another Aran con that i've noticed is that Arans suck in bosses without frequent summons (Zak Body 1, Bodies 2 and 3 spam shit like hell) and Hilla just because Hilla's spawns are fairly infrequent and low, though i'll let the judge of that be for the player. I strongly Recommend that Zakum be done instead of regular Hilla, just because DR is a pain in the ass and my hilla drop suck nuts. (i've only seen aran books drop ONCE. and that was CT, though some people can go hammer me about my luck if they want) zakum arms, 2nd and 3rd bodies are pretty nice just because of the fact that combo gain doesn't suck badly.
    Also, if you're an Aran and you lose a combo, it's detrimental to DPS.
    being an aran 70-120 sucks because of MPQ's shit spawn and the fact you're going to get ks'd so Fking much its not even Funny, since mp3 doesn't exist in KMS.
    Another con is that Arans are BORING AS HELL 1-120 (pre-advacement) and if it's a bigger map, arans will get ksed till death.
    Td:Lr Version: Aran semi-suck at bossing without mobs, Arans suck at ksing and are usually ksed, and arans for the most part are boring (subjective)
    also add the snowboard and maple anniversary Pole Arms as viable weapons, since we all can't have PSBs (though we should) Alliance weapon is decent.

    You're wrong imo i barely able to zakum as aran hilla is much easier imo,the dr is pain in the ass but you're wrong she has more/same drop rate as zakum,i did zakum in levels 113/118 and it wasn't really easy for me but then hard or is easy is subjective.
    The Maple polearms aren't really common and thier attack/speed isn't really good.
    Also i disagree with you on the mpq part i can ks easily people as well,then again it depending on your controls and shit like that,also please notice that this guide is in WIP (Work in progress)
    About the combo loss you can recover them really fast with Rolling Spin.

    For me, i have trouble organizing a decent Hilla exped (mainly because high levels don't have any need for it or no one's ever on/afk)
    Zak runs are a bit easier because Helms can be farmed for charm Exp. (which some people want)
    but yeah, anything's better than those regular weapons that arans get.
    Snowboards are Normal Speed and the 8th aniversiary weapon is fast speed, which rivals PSB ( I honestly don't give a care about damage, Speed to me = fun)
    Plus 9th anniversary is coming anyway, and we had a snowboard event a little while back.
    but yeah, I think the guide is nicely made.
    As for skills and damages, All i've seen are a couple of arans and played one a while back, and they had a hard time keeping up with the rest of classes at the time (which was Mercedes/DS/CS, though i'm sure it's the same case with mikhails.)
    but yeah, you might be right on the last part. I have no problems with everything else, its nicely made and has a lot of potential. Just my 1 and a half a cent.
