'What jobs should you choose?' Guide

    Introduction
Hello, I'm Trance. If you're wondering what job you should play, there's a guide by Imaginal which suits for those who are new to Leafre here! So, let's get back to the topic. There are actually new users in Leafre wondering which jobs you would want to play. Demon Slayer? Mercedes? Aran? Kaiser? Phantom? I admit there are tons of job for players to play in Korean MapleStory, KMS in short. But, you're not just going to seek suggestions from others. Maybe I dislike Thunder Breaker, but someone likes it. Views differs in this case. I recommend you to make your own decision when selecting a proper job to enhance your game-play. If not, you might be wasting your time, not enjoying the game-play. To tell you the truth,
There is no best class in MapleStory. The reason is that game creators go through a process called class balancing. Although some classes are overpowered (OP) when first released, they will eventually be nerfed so that they are balanced out with the other classes. If there were a best class, everyone would be playing that class, and there would be no need for a variety of classes. Game creators create an array of balanced classes: to make sure that varied playing experiences are available. Each class has its own pros and cons.
Therefore, the hard part is deciding which class fits you the best. It might be because of the massive damage, looks, or just for fun, but your class should fit your playing style. Otherwise, you'll probably become bored quickly and MapleStory won't be fun for you. Be aware, though, of the costs to run your character. If you are confused, just remember this: the more mesos, or funding, you have, the better the character, and its damage and appearance, can be.
So, why do I actually make this thread? Well,
    1. Recently, the topic regarding spamming is brought out and one of them are about job recommendations.
    2. I do not want users to not fully enjoy the game-play with the suggested jobs. It might waste your time and effort.
    3. I want to help new users to make a decision on what to play in order to enhance their game-play.

    Before going through the thread,
    • You can play other jobs. I'm not forcing you to only play what suits you the best.
    • You can send me feedback to enhance this thread so more users will get a heads up.
    • You must follow the rules of Leafre as Leafre rules applies to all sections

    So, now let's start this.

    What are jobs?
According to the definition from the Internet, A job may be defined as:
    1. a piece of work, especially a specific task done as part of the routine of one's occupation or for an agreed price.
    2. a post of employment; full-time or part-time position.
    3. anything a person is expected or obliged to do; duty; responsibility.
    4. an affair, matter, occurrence, or state of affairs.
    5. the material, project, assignment, etc., being worked upon.

Now, let's see the bold ones. So, why do i bold them? For me, they are indeed related to Maple Story content. In a Maple Story content, a job is where a player can choose a job. If you remember, when you reached level 10 in Maple Story, you'll have the right to choose what jobs to do, right? That's what the second definition comes in. You go to different instructors to choose your job. Then after some conversations, you're somehow accepted. Now, let's say you want to play as a warrior. After level 10, you'd went to find Dances with Balrog in Perion. After some chit-chat, then you advanced as a warrior. Right. So, where's the third one? It's easy, as you get to level, meet a coupe of new buddies, join a guild, and then alliance, bossing, participating in Party Quests, etc. you need to advance your job right? That's it. In order to fulfill your game-play, you somehow NEED to go for job advancements, right? It's something like a promotion in real life. So, the third definition fits there. Now, let's get to the point. In Maple Story, choosing a job is like choosing what kind of road you'll walk throughout the game. That's all.

How many types of jobs are there in MapleStory?
Good question. To answer you, there are exactly five types of jobs in MapleStory which includes Warrior, Magician (Mage), Bowman, Thief and Pirate. So, you might wonder where's Phantom, Aran, Evan and many other new ones right? They're not the actual job types. There are only classified as different class instead of jobs. For instance,

    • Thunder Breaker / Stirker, Dawn Warrior / Soul Master, Blaze Wizard / Fire Wizard, Wind Archer / Wind Walker and Night Walker are in a class called the Knight of Cygnus (K.o.C).
    • Aran, Evan, Mercedes, Phantom and Luminous are in another class called the Five Heroes (in which all the jobs fought with the Black Mage).
    • Angelic Burster and Kaiser are classifed as Novas (Citizens of Pantheon).
    • Warrior, Mage, Bowman, Thief and Pirate are classified as Explorer (Adventurer).
    • Cannon Shooter, Jet (ZEN)(not existent in KMS) and Dual Blade are classified as Extra Explorer (Extra Adventurer).
    • Wild Hunter, Battle Mage, Mechanic and Xenon are classified as the Resistance (which are against the Black Wings).
    • Demon Avenger and Demon Slayer are classified as the Demon.
    • Hayato and Kanna are classified as the Sengoku. (* We'll not touch on this any further as this is not available in KMS currently)
    • The latest job Zero is classified as the Child Of God

So, here are the details of a certain job.

    Sub-jobs?!
Yes, and this is know as classes. There are currently seven classes in KMS including the two which are merged as one. Who are they? They are the Explorers (Extra Explorers + Explorers), Knight of Cygnus, Resistance (Resistance + Demon), Five Heroes and Novas. Here's a little summary about the five classes.

    1. Explorers (Extra Explorers + Explorers)
      • Explorers are the original classes of MapleStory. These are the main branches of Maplers who fought in the general effort against the Black Mage and his horde of evil monsters. Later, Cygnus Knights and the Heroes, joined the Explorers to lead the battle against the Black Mage. Explorers are set to have their own storyline in RED. The class consists of Warrior, Mage, Bowman, Thief, Pirate, Cannon Shooter, Jet (ZEN)(not existent in KMS) and Dual Blade.
    2. Knight of Cygnus
      • The Cygnus Knights are special knights who fought towards one goal - to defeat the Black Mage. The Black Mage was trying to take over the land of Maple World, but this act was stopped by the Cygnus Knights, temporarily. Now it is time for them to rise again and challenge the Black Mage once more. The class consists of Thunder Breaker / Stirker, Dawn Warrior / Soul Master, Blaze Wizard / Fire Wizard, Wind Archer / Wind Walker and Night Walker.
    3. Resistance
      • The Resistance is a group of rebel forces from Edelstein going against the Black Wings. The classes consist of Wild Hunter, Battle Mage, Mechanic, Xenon, Demon Avenger and Demon Slayer.
    4. Heroes (Five Heroes)
      • The world of MapleStory was not always such a cheerful place. There has been evil in the past, most noticeably the evil Black Mage. However, the reason the Maple World is a happy place, it is today, is due to the efforts of five selfless heroes who fought the Black Mage, sealed him away, and brought peace and prosperity to the Maple World. However, their efforts were not without sacrifice, and in the process of sealing away the Black Mage, they were then themselves sealed in ice, and Aran's memories were wiped clean. However, the five heroes have awoken and are prepared to counterattack the Black Wings, the army of the Black Mage. The class consists of Aran, Evan, Mercedes, Phantom and Luminous.
    5. Nova
      • The Nova is a race and a category of classes in the game. There is not much known about them, other than they live in the world of Pantheon and the race consists of human-dragon hybrids. The two branches of the Nova currently are Kaiser and Angelic Burster.
    6. Child of God
      • The Child of God (CoG) is a new race in KMS. This class is sealed within the Mirror World. Basically, it has its own world. How do I put it? It's like there IS a Maple World within the REAL Maple World. The child of God roams within the Mirror World and it'll be freed from it. The current class of CoG is Zero Alpha/Beta.

Now, let's get the jobs explained one by one in detail!
    • Explorers
      1. Warriors

Warriors have characteristics of tanks: they are able to take a lot of damage and can reflect them back with Power Guard. As they are melee fighters, they cannot use ranged attacks, so they are given much more health and defense to compensate. While they can prove to be quite powerful later, warriors are generally eclipsed by some classes in first and second job (you probably aren't playing for purely that). The life of a warrior requires much patience, but to those willing to tough it out, it will be a rewarding experience.
There are eight different types of weapons available to the warrior class: Polearms, Spears, One Handed Blunt Weapons, Two Handed Blunt Weapons,One-handed axes, Two handed Axes, One Handed Swords, and Two Handed Swords. Except in the case of Spearmen and Dark Knights, it is highly recommended to choose one weapon type and stick with it, as the second job advancement will only offer mastery skills for two or three weapons. With one weapon skill mastered, one can maximize the amount of damage they can potentially dish out.

      Pros
      • Highest HP and defense of all classes
      • Choice of eight different weapon types
      • Proficient at both mobbing and single targets
      • Very high raw damage

      Cons
      • No ranged attacks until third job.
      • Lowest MP of all classes.
      • Low accuracy and avoidability.
      • No skill for faster movement, fourth job skill rush unable to be spammed
      • Must use power strike and slash blast until third job

      1.1 Second job
There are three kinds of job upon reaching Levl 30 where you'll be advancing to second job. The jobs are Fighter, Page and Spearman. When you choose a job, you cannot change to others anymore.
This is the list of the jobs:

      Warrior > Fighter > Crusader > Hero
Warrior > Page > White Knight > Paladin
Warrior > Spearman > Beserker > Dark Knight
      1.1.1 Fighters
Fighters are a powerful class, with incredible damage for single as well as multiple targets. They are notable for their party skill, Rage, which increases the Weapon Attack for users. Their strength is increased as they advance to a Crusader, which will gain the ability to conjure 5 orbs that will increase their strength each. Their last advancement is the Hero, an intimidating warrior who can utilize the efficiency of the Combo Attack. However, their amazing damage makes up for the fact that they have a short range.
The Fighter's choice of weapons are Swords and Axes.

      Pros:
      • Highest damage in the game
      • Acquires Rage, which raises their party's attack by a significant amount
      • The strongest of the Warrior class; Useful in facing against element-neutral monsters.
      • Their combo skills Panic has the ability to stun the enemies and Coma can send them into Darkness, reducing their accuracy.
      • The only warrior class to possess Advanced Final Attack, which not only grants a Weapon Attack bonus and more accuracy but a higher probability to use Final Attack.

      Cons:
      • Lowest MP in the game.
      • Rage will not be able to stack with most potions, buffs and skills.
      • Charging up Combo can lead to a string of unstable damage, axe or sword.
      • Possesses a short range.

      1.1.2 Pages
Pages are the most protective class of the Warriors. The Page lacks the strength of the Hero or the mobbing power of a spearman, but they make it up for their high defenses. On top of that, they are the only Warriors who is able to charge their weapons with the elements of fire, ice, lightning and sanctity. Their defenses are increased as a White Knight and perfected as a Paladin, mastering their abilties with a shield.
The Page's main weapons of choice are Swords and Blunt Weapons.

      Pros:
      • Moderate HP in warrior job.
      • Possesses a skill which reduces the accuracy and defense of monsters.
      • The only Warrior with the highest defense, especially with a shield in hand.
      • The strongest against elemental monsters due to their charges, bringing more damage out.
      • Possesses a hammer skill (Sanctuary/Heaven's Hammer) that hits up to 16 monsters.

      Cons:
      • Moderate MP in warrior job.
      • Not the best mobber as they use more single-target skills and less mob skills.
      • They contain more defense skills than damage increase skills.
      • Possesses a short range.

      1.1.3 Spearmen
Spearmen are the supporting group of Warriors. Spearmen are proficient in terms of mobbing than Fighters or Pages. They can temporarily increase their and others' HP with Hyper Body. They make the third job advancement as a Dragon Knight, where they become more HP dependent. As a Dark Knight, they will be partnered with a small companion that will buff and fight along with you.
The Spearman's weapons of choice are spears and pole arms.

      Pros:
      • Highest HP base (With or without Hyper Body)
      • More powerful in mob control than the other two Warriors.
      • Possesses Hyper Body, a party skill that increases Max HP and MP for the whole party.
      • Larger melee range than Fighters and Pages.
      • Their strength is supercharged at a certain HP threshold.
      • Gains more speed than the other Warriors due to Berserk.
      • Longest range among the warrior job (Dark Impale)

      Cons:
      • Most HP dependent of Warrior.
      • It's wise to watch your HP as you use HP draining skills like Sacrifice or Dragon Roar against strong bosses.
      • Slow attacking speed
      • Beaten by the other two in 3rd and 4ths job on single targets.
      • Less defense than other warriors as polearms and spears are two-handed (meaning they can't equip shields)
      • need to control their HP well at a threshold of about 40% as that is the peak hp limit for berserk.

      2. Magicians

Magicians are very abundant in the MS community. Magicians have very low hp, but ranged spells like Energy Bolt and Magic Claw, as well as the protection of Magic Guard more than make up for it. Magicians have good damage until 3rd job, when other classes get much more powerful attacks. Also, once you reach 2nd job, you have an available skill named MP Eater, which allows you to drain MP from enemies.

      Pros:
      • Incredible amounts of MP and MP recovery.
      • Stable damage throughout the game.
      • Can attack both up close and ranged.
      • Can attack through obstacles with for example Magic Claw.
      • Can take more damage earlier than other classes with Magic Guard.
      • Highest damage among all classes in 1st job
      • At low levels, they deal the highest dpm. This is due to attacking with magic and the fact that monsters have poor magic defense at low levels. (Example: While you're level 10 you can hit Dark Stumps. However other classes are stuck with Slimes.)
      • Not affected by debuffs like darkness ( mages don't require weapon accuracy at all , darkness does not affect magic accuracy.)

      Cons:
      • Very low HP without Magic Guard.
      • Lots of money spent on MP pots (but less on HP pots) until you get MP Eater in 2nd job unless you know how to conserve well.
      • Due to the reliance on elemental weaknesses, the leveling process can pit you against same enemies over and over
      • Bad damage per minute at high levels.
      • If sealed,no skill, no hope (unless you brought all-cures)(as mages only have magic attack skill
      • Magic guard makes it so that both HP and MP go down when hit, which leads to trickier potting.
      • Worst single target damage in 4th job, not generally wanted for boss runs (unless you're a cleric).

Notes: Magicians can "jump attack" by pressing the spell's assigned key and jump at the exact the same time. 2nd job+ mages can also "telecast", which is similar, replacing the jump key with the Teleport key. Ice strike can be used while jumping if done at the same frame. Note: Although other classes overpower in 3rd class, magicians have strong mob attacks and party skills that are liked among parties.

      2.1 Second job
There are three kinds of job upon reaching Levl 30 where you'll be advancing to second job. The jobs are Ice Lightning Wizard, Fire Poison Wizard and Cleric. When you choose a job, you cannot change to others anymore.
This is the list of the jobs:
      Magician > I/L Wizard > I/L Mage > I/L Arch Mage
      Magician > F/P Wizard > F/P Mage > F/P Arch Mahe
      Magician > Cleric > Priest > Bishop
      2.1.1 I/L Wizards
Ice/Lightning wizards can freeze their opponents and bombard them with spells that hit multiple enemies at once.

      Pros:
      • Always have skills capable of hitting multiple monsters (Thunderbolt at 2nd job, Ice Strike at 3rd, and Chain Lightning/Big Bang/Blizzard at 4th).
      • MP Eater with Lightning will often get a great amount of MP back.
      • Cold Beam isn't blocked by terrain.
      • Constant freezing usually spells less potion use due to lack of HP loss.
      • Damage on ice/lightning weak monsters is generally more than a
      • Cleric's/Priest's/Bishop's damage on Holy/Heal weak monsters

      Cons:
      • Damage on ice-/lightning-weak monsters is generally less than an F/P's damage on fire-weak monsters
      • Lightning has the second least elemental advantage
      • Unwanted for bossing.

      2.1.2 F/P Wizards
Fire/Poison wizards deal a lot of damage and can drain away at the monster's HP using poison spells. They are the fastest leveling magician at 3rd job due to poison mist's large area of affect.

      Pros:
      • Rarest Magician (Basically nowhere near how common other Magicians are).
      • Impressive 3rd job leveling speed because of poison mist.
      • Effective drain against high level enemies with poison.(There are some f/p mages training at skelegon at lvl 9x , with Maxed poison mist , gaining 125% exp in one hour)
      • Fire has the second most elemental advantage, second to holy.

      Cons:
      • Poison is not much of a use in early levels as a Fire/Poison.
      • Poison can be difficult to use if inexperienced.
      • The only fire offensive spell for 2nd job, Fire Arrow, is blocked by terrain (as with Assassins).
      • Poison ((Effect)) leaves the monster with 1 hp; it cannot kill a monster.
      • No mobbing skill until 3rd job (with the balance patch, the very powerful fire arrow now hits 3 monsters)
      • Poor bossing

      2.1.3 Clerics
While Clerics don't deal as much damage as the other magicians, they do possess the unique ability to heal, which tends to have the opposite effect on the undead, and can affect up to five monsters of this type at a time. Dark creatures are also vulnerable to Holy Arrow.
Although clerics are perfectly capable of soloing, they are widely acknowledged as a party class. This is especially true once they reach the third job advancement, as priests receive excellent supportive skills.

      Pros:
      • Can self-heal
      • Can Dispel which can be casted when being sealed, nulifying some debuffs from monsters and bosses.
      • Great support skills, making it easy to find a party. (Like Bless, Holy symbol, dispel, advance blessing, and resurrection)
      • Able to jump-attack freely with Heal
      • Can gain small amounts of EXP from healing other players
      • Holy Symbol, a 3rd job skill, gives 150% exp when the priest is in a party. (Gives 110% when not)
Edit: If a cleric has reasonable SP on MP Eater, and Heal and MP Eater combined used on un-dead monsters (eg. zombie mushroom) the cleric will never run out of HP or MP

      Cons:
      • HP pot dependent. (Bosses can HP/MP 1 you. You have 1MP. How are you gonna heal?????)
      • Weakest damage at 2nd and 3rd job
      • Leveling process pits you against same enemies over and over
      • Limited enemies are affected by heal (the only mob skill until one reaches mid-level Priest)
      • Most common magician class
      • The low HP limits training options for Priests to almost exclusively training with Dark Knights.
      • Genesis, while still very powerful, is the weakest compared to Meteor and
      • Blizzard but uses the least MP(assuming that the Arch Mage/Blaze Wizard has Element Amplification). EDIT: End-game mobs are Holy-weak
      • No Mob Skills till third job. (There is mob skill for cleric, which is Heal but it only applies to undead monsters)

      Note:
In 4th Job, all Mages get a skill where they can have infinite MP, but of course, to use the skill itself, it uses a big amount of MP, only lasts for 40 seconds, and has a cool-down timer of 3 minutes.

I'll update the job details ASAP. Let's continue!

    What should I choose?
Now, this is the point where the whole is all about, choosing a job. Well, here it is.

If you're aiming for high damage / large damage range, go for:
    • Warriors (DK, Paladin, Hero)
    • Aran - Good def (Knock back) & good dmg (Combo Count)
    • Dawn Warrior / Soul Master (K.O.C)
    • Demon Slayer (Resistance) - No mana needed (Uses Demon Fury)
    • Demon Avenger (Resistance) - Exceed System (HP based)
    • Mihile (K.O.C) - A KOC which has a level cap of 200 and has faster job advancements than other KOCs.
    • Kaiser (Nova)
    • Hayato (Sengoku) (Not available in KMS at the moment)
    • Zero Beta - Zero Beta is more on dealing high damage and the HP is quite above average.

If you're aiming for mobility / speed / great damage per second (DPS) a.k.a great attack speed, go for:
    • Mercedes - #1 Mobility for me, flashy skills, fast reaction speed
    • Bowmans (Marksman & Bowmaster)
    • Thieves (Night Lord & Shadower)
    • Pirates (Corsair / Buccaneer)
    • Wind Archer (K.O.C)
    • Night Walker (K.O.C)
    • Thunder Breaker / Stirker (K.O.C)
    • Wild Hunter (Resistance) - One of my favourite, you can shoot while you're moving. And there's a leopard (mount) and it's free! Awww..
    • Mechanic (Resistance)
    • Dual Blade - flashy skills, fast reaction speed
    • Cannoneer - Has great damage but in exchange with cds IMO.
    • Phantom Thief - High avoidability, rather low damage but has a good dps skill on fourth jobs. Has a teleport skill.
    • Xenon. Why you say?
      1. Xenon can fly and perform flash jumps.
      2. Link skill gives you 10% all stat when you are level 100.
      3. Has many buffs that increases survivability.
      4. Fast attacks and High evasion Rate
      5. the character card is boss
      6. you can wear 2 android hearts at once!
      7. A multi-purpose skill with 3 modes.
      8. The current problem is it is not available in KMS temporarily :(
    • Angelic Burster - ALL PINK! Moderate DMG! Mostly Wide Area Skills! The burst damage and DPS from soul seeker! THERE'S A PERVY DRAGON FOLLOWS YOU!
    • Zero Alpha - Being a warrior, its DPS is quite fast. In addition, Zero Alpha is more on DPS + Critical style.

If you're a magic addict, go for:
    • Magicians (Fire Poison Arch Mage, Ice Lightning Arch Mage and Bishop)
    • Evan - Most job advancement to make.
    • Blaze Wizard / Flame Wizard (K.O.C) (Not available in KMS currently)
    • Battle Mage (Resistance) - my favourite, a melee mode mage.
    • Luminous
    • Kanna (Sengoku)(Not available in KMS at the moment)

If you're new to KMS and wanting to save pots usage (assuming you're lowly-funded), you can go for:
    • Angelic Burster. Why?
      1. This job's skill set DOES NOT require any MP pots. Just HP pots are needed. As biowolfz says, AB has a fairly low HP and Defense as she's included in the Pirate, mainly corsair. You might have to fund for the pots, A LOT. As Bacon says, if you want AB to have high damage, you'll need to fund as well.
    • Warrior based jobs. Why?
      1. Warrior based jobs have fairly high HP to be honest, the job with the most HP.
        • Job like Dark Knight has high HP. Skill(s) used: Hyper Body (boost player's HP for 60%, making it 160%), Aura of the Beholden (Passive) (Which recovers HP)
      2. Warrior based jobs have high damage and have damage booster.
        • Jobs like Hero, Aran has high damage. Hero uses Rage to boost damage while Aran has the combo count system which has a 10 hits per damage increase.
      3. Warrior based jobs have high defense compared to any other jobs.
    • Demon Class. Why?
      1. Demon class DOES NOT use any mana pots, like Angelic Burster.
        • Demon Slayer replaces the mana bar with Demon Fury (a mana for Demon Slayers). It is unlimited (just hit any mobs with normal attacks and it'll drop an orb. It refill the DF bar). Plus, DS is one of the jobs that deals good damage (A warrior job). Demon Slayer requires low funding to get high damage, along with defense.
        • Demon Avenger uses a system called Exceed system, which uses HP for almost anything -- Launching skills, Damage range, etc. It is also included in one of the jobs that has good damage (A warrior job). What's more, there's a skill for Demon Avenger where it can fully refill your HP bar when the Exceed system hits 20. Pot saver!! Demon Avenger however, needs some funding in HP%, as he uses HP FOR EVERYTHING. Demon avenger has a special skill set that ignores requirements for warrior equipments, and any HP pots you eat is 3X-ed.Plus, at level 150 if you have about +70% hp you can deal 1m per line.

If you're WANTING TO TRY OUT KMS lATEST JOBS for now, you can go for:
    • Zero Alpha Beta.
      1. It is the first class for the new class, Child of God.
      2. It is the first job to ever have two characters in one single character (Namely Alpha and Beta).
      3. It has two different gameplays. First, it's the DPS + Critical game play (Alpha). Second, it's the High DMG game play (Beta).
      4. Currently, it is the job that doesn't require a lot of pot funding. As you can get reindeer milk which adds 5k HP to your HP bar upon completing one dungeon, you save from buying. Plus, you do not need to buy weapons for it, it'll upgrade once per 10 levels.
      5. NOTE: Even though it has a rather low pot funding, it needs mesos to upgrade your weapons, etc.

If you want to add something or correcting the mistakes, go ahead. You'll be given credit in the credit section. :)

    Updates
You can refer here for the updates.

    Notes
    • There are no such things as fastest leveling jobs. It depends on how dedicated you are going to play that particular job. For instance, Bishop has the lowest EXP Graph as compared to Dark Knight which in my opinion has the highest EXP Graph. Assume that you don't have any resource to buy any EXP multiplier. Bishop is part of the Magician job, which has the lowest EXP Graph before and after Big Bang (BB) Patch. Plus, since Bishop has the 'Holy Symbol' Skill which enhance your EXP. So basically, you're having more EXP % than any other jobs. Still, if you're to play a Priest for 3 hours without Holy Symbol and a Priest for 10 hours without Holy Symbol, you might get great results as you play longer.
    • There is a system called 'Job Balancing' in Maple. How does it works? In order to maintain the game-play, jobs NEED to have Pros and Cons. Assume you don't buff your job. For instance, Magicians have High MP base as they'll pretty much use high amount of mana to mob but they have low HP base while Warriors have High HP base and they're melee jobs but they're in a pinch as they have low MP base to launch an attack.
    • New jobs tend to get players' attention and the other jobs will be neglected. Generally, new jobs tend to be over-powered (OP) on its release. Since you've already have an idea what Job balancing is, Nexon will NERF the new jobs in order to match with the other jobs. What's NERF? NERF is a process where the Nexon team lowers the damage, buff duration, etc to balance the job. Some players MIGHT be flaming regarding jobs. So, don't blame Nexon if you don't know the existence of the NERF process!

@Rith for telling me that Evan can now use a wand. The last thing I know is Evan is only a staff user. Thank you!
@Imaginal for that awesome guide entitled "Strating Your KMS Adventure".
@newce94 for telling me to add other names for certain jobs. Thank you!
@biowolfz for telling me that AB needs funding for pots as the HP and DEF is fairly low. Thank you!
@Baconnnnnnn for modifying almost half of the guide. Thank you very much!
@SeeSeeElle for telling me to add Zero in it during the game. Thank you so much!

    Conclusion
First, it depends on what type of game play would you want to have when you're playing KMS. Just go through the previous content to see what gaming style suits you the best! I hope this guide might help you guys! In exchange, please don't post anything regarding job recommendations as there's a thread about it already. Thanks for lending me your time to read this guide. I hope the staff will get this thread sticky as well. Thank you. Regards.

About choosing Angelic Buster for a new character, the bad thing Angelic Buster is that it has fairly low HP and DF.(Since it is kind of like a pirate, mainly corsair) So for new players won't they waste more pots in the beginning? Just my opinion though I may be wrong, but other than that nice guide.

    Pros:
    • Highest HP in the game

    You are slightly wrong.
Hero has a high dmg output, not hp. Highest hp class belongs the drk, no matter with hb or not. As for range, it is all the same for melee jobs, doesn't make alot of difference. However, DRK's has a longer melee range because of Dark Impale (For adventurers, that is)

    Pros:
    • Of all the warriors, they are the least made.
    • More HP than Spearmen and more MP than Fighters.
    • Possesses a skill which reduces the accuracy and defense of monsters.
    • The only Warrior with the highest defense, especially with a shield in hand.
    • The strongest against elemental monsters due to their charges, bringing more damage out.
    • Possesses a hammer skill that hits up to 16 monsters.(Not sure with the skill exists currently)

    Cons:
    • Less HP than Fighters and less MP than Spearmen.
    • Not the best mobber as they use more single-target skills and less mob skills.
    • They contain more defense skills than damage increase skills.
You shouldn't say that it is the least made. It might not be a personal favorite, but unless it is a proven fact, no not mislead others. And again, Drk's have the highest hp. Not pala, neither is a hero. And the mobbing skill is called Sanctuary/Heaven's Hammer.

They make the third job advancement as a Dragon Knight, where they become more HP dependent. As a Dark Knight, they will be partnered with a small companion that will buff and fight along with you.
The Spearman's weapons of choice are spears and pole arms.

    Pros:
    • High maximum damage.
    • More powerful in mob control than the other two Warriors.
    • Possesses Hyper Body, a party skill that increases Max HP and MP for the whole party.
    • Balanced HP and MP.
    • Larger melee range than Fighters and Pages.
    • Their strength is supercharged at a certain HP threshold.
    • Gains more speed than the other Warriors due to Berserk.

    Cons:
    • Least HP among other Warriors if not made into HP warrior but there is Hyper Body to compensate for that
    • Most HP dependent of Warrior.
    • It's wise to watch your HP as you use HP draining skills like Sacrifice or Dragon Roar against strong bosses.
    • Slow attacking speed
    • Beaten by the other two in 3rd and 4ths job on single targets.
Less defense than other warriors as polearms and spears are two-handed (meaning they can't equip shields)
FACTS. FACTS. The highest and easiest job to get maximum damage is A HERO. NOT A DRK. There is no shit called HP warrior. People wash their HP, people don't directly apply HP to their Stats unless they are newbies. Another thing about Drk's are, they need to control their HP well at a threshold of about 40% as that is the peak hp limit for berserk. They are not likely gonna cast Dragon Roar during bosses unless to clear mobs as losing 20% of your hp + being so near to the boss can spell death to you.

    • Stable damage throughout the game.
    • Can attack both up close and ranged.
    • Can attack through obstacles with for example Magic Claw.
    • Can take more damage earlier than other classes with Magic Guard.
    • The ultimate's (Blizzard, Meteor, Genesis) are by far the most powerful mobbing skills in the entire game, able to 1 hit ko all ordinary monsters. (Not including bosses or Time Temple). Don't be fooled by their poor dpm.

Actually the fastest leveling job is a evan. Just for you to know, PRE BIG BANG. As for their skills (Blizzard,Meteor,Genesis), they are not ultimates. Hyper Skills are ultimates. Besides that, Dark Genesis, Dark Fog, WH's 11hit skill , and many other jobs too have skills that can do so.

    • Lightning is expensive in MP in 2nd job; 40 Mana when maxed. (EDIT: Many people always say that thunderbolt uses alot of mp, but it would take many times the mp of thunderbolt to do the same amount of damage with cold beam, or other mage single target skills. In damage to MP ratio, thunderbolt is actually very cheap.)
    • Unwanted for bossing.
Nobody uses ice beams now that thunderbolt hits 3 times.

    • Fast 4th job leveling with Meteor Shower (as with the other two).

I think you are stuck in pre big bang time. They cant spam meteor, gene, blizzard anymore. Secondly, Explosion is used more to mob than poison, poison is mostly a showoff skill. And in 4th job, paralyze is used for mobbing.

Although clerics are perfectly capable of soloing, they are widely acknowledged as a party class. This is especially true once they reach the third job advancement, as priests receive excellent supportive skills.

    Pros:
    • Can self-heal, eliminating the need for HP pots
    • Can Dispel which can be casted when being sealed, nulifying some debuffs from monsters and bosses.
    • Heal is a great mobbing skill for undead monsters

    Cons:
You should never, ever say that it is hp pot independent. Bosses can HP/MP 1 you. You have 1MP. How are you gonna heal????? End game mobs are not all undead you know. Skele's isnt a good training spot anymore.

The burst damage and DPS from soul seeker, not because of the colour. Pirates are all DPS Classes. And if you don't like Pirates, you wont like AB

Kaiser is a nice job too. No point adding the adventurers as they are being locked now.

What's more, there's a skill for Demon Avenger where it can fully refill your HP bar when the Exceed system hits 20. Pot saver!!
Demon Slayer requires low funding to get high damage, along with defense.

In overall, the guide is not based on facts, but your own personal opinion. You cant just type everything and mislead other people. I know it is not intentional, but i do hope the next time u'd update this thread, you would actually make factual points. I am also not discouraging you, i can see tons of effort poured inside this thread. Just be careful on the words you use, it may mislead newcomers. Nice organization BTW. and if you do update it, dont have to add a comment. Editing it at the top or the bottom as update logs would be good.

You shouldn't say that it is the least made. It might not be a personal favorite, but unless it is a proven fact, no not mislead others. And again, Drk's have the highest hp. Not pala, neither is a hero. And the mobbing skill is called Sanctuary/Heaven's Hammer.

FACTS.

Nobody uses ice beams now that thunderbolt hits 3 times.

I think you are stuck in pre big bang time. They cant spam meteor, gene, blizzard anymore. Secondly, Explosion is used more to mob than poison, poison is mostly a showoff skill. And in 4th job, paralyze is used for mobbing.

You should never, ever say that it is hp pot independent. Bosses can HP/MP 1 you. You have 1MP. How are you gonna heal????? End game mobs are not all undead you know. Skele's isnt a good training spot anymore.

Xenon should be here, not the hybrid thing. The only hybrid thing about xenon is equipment. NW is not revamped yet, so not available either. AB too. The burst damage and DPS from soul seeker, not because of the colour. Pirates are all DPS Classes. And if you don't like Pirates, you wont like AB

Again,BW is under revamp, not available.

AB needs alot of funding to have high damage too.

You should add dawn warrior too, high dps, doesn't need funding, no skill books needed, not even close to hp pot dependent unless bossing. Mp hungry tho.
Kaiser is a nice job too. No point adding the adventurers as they are being locked now.

Thanks for this much feedback, Bacon. Yeah, I am currently stuck on the pre BB era. Thank you for correcting this thread everywhere. I really appreciate this. About the pot-saving suggestion, I say it's a warrior-based jobs. So, it's basically jobs that are related to warriors like DW, Mihile, DA, DS, Aran, etc.
