    Question Soooooooo comparisons?

So havent actually played maple 2 yet. But, i have seen screenshots and videos. It looks great! I was just wondering of the people that have an account and have been playing both maple 1 and 2, which do you prefer, and what makes you choose one over the other? Thanks!

    What I like about MS2:
Big maps. I've always liked big maps.
Still retains the mass-mobs sorta aspect like in MS1. Most 3D games really don't do that. It's usually 1 mob with so much HP or defense.
No SP potions. I really like this because it prevents users from spamming just 1 skill. You HAVE to use other skills.
Pot cooldown/potion heal over time. Personally, I've always hated games that do this. I hate having a potion cool down or having potions not heal instantly. However, MS2 seems to do it right. Having this nerf on potions makes you HAVE to move around and dodge attacks. In MS1, all you do is stand there, take the damage being dealed to you and just spam your potion. It's a very boring system.
Housing system. I'm a huge fan of games that have this. HUGE HUGE HUGE plus.

I honestly really can't say what I don't like about MS2 yet because my points may change once Beta/Release is live. But I'll post them anyways
    What I don't like about MS2:
Not much options to level. You either have to grind or quest. And there's not much quests. There is also bossing which gives tons of EXP, being the best alternative.
Housing options are small. Despite me liking the housing system, you don't have much to choose from. I wish you can have the ability to add another room or something. Having one cubic room is kinda limiting.
No PQs. One thing I liked about MS1 is PQs (or at least what PQs were years back when it was an active social feature). It's always fun having to pair up with some people, meet new people, work together, etc.
Dungeons are boring. Dungeons are literally just "enter -> kill boss." It's only one map, there's no obstacles, there's no other mobs. Just the boss.

But yeah like I said, all my dislikes can change as MS2 gets closer to release.

Sweet! Thanks! Nice to get a good idea of what the game is like. I'll probably play it once its fully released. Hopefully it just keeps getting better before it's released!

think of maple story 2 as a modern version of maple story 1. From what I've seen, there are a lot of common and modern features found in maplestory 2 that you would find in any other modern mmorpgs.
