    Blissfully Ignorant or Depressingly Intelligent

    You can live a life in one of two ways. You can choose to live it being blissfully ignorant. You live your life being completely happy, but you are unaware of the horrors and misery that engulf the world that you exist in. You cannot comprehend what is brought before you, but you are in bliss. You are ignorant as to what is happening, but happy about what you know. Or, would you rather be depressingly intelligent? You are fully aware of the horrors and misery that engulf the world, and can comprehend everything that is going on, however with this knowledge of how horrible the world truly is, with your large intelligence, you are endlessly depressed. Would you pick to be ignorant, but happy, or intelligent, but depressed?

    I thought that this could be a fun thread. Pick an answer in the poll and then feel free to make a post if you wish to explain your reasoning.

    I say Blissfully Ignorant is better , cause you live with no fear of stuff (ex: Dying , having a serious disease) ,and you can be like happy most of the time ;)

    I think I would rather be around blissfully ignorant people, BUT I myself choose depressingly intelligent. To me, depressingly intelligent could be summed up to cynical? A few people have described me like that so, meh. lol.

    Its basically choosing between being cynical and being naive, but on a deeper note.

    This Kind of "knowing" Reminds me of a book called the giver we werebrutally forced to read in school a couple years back.

    The plot revolves around this utopia community where people are extremely naive and practically know nothing. With the exception of the council, and the giver the people have no feeling, no sense of color and do not believe in death. The book, was actually rye and boring but asked many questions never before asked.

    In conclusion knowing everything would be horrible.
    Its very philosophical... thought provoking.

    Thanks for the reply and all, and actually giving some deepened insight into your answer, but what's up with your text? I mean it's kinda cool, but why'd you choose to use all of the different colors and sizes?

    I would rather be depressingly intelligent
    @My Name
    And i sorta am a realist and a optimist
    ( i am a person who can see the bright side of things, realisticly)
    it sometimes gets at me like im like i know hes going to die or i know this will happen
    90% chance it will, therefore im betting it will happen and people are always like
    OMG JOSH, why so pessimistic?! Im like im being realisitic not pessimitic
    My advice to all is, dont think about everything, it kinda makes you a pessimist
