    Cw... -.-

Cubeworld... many of you all may have already heard of it because of how similar it is to minecraft in-terms of graphics / looks.

Today , Open-Alpha was released for CubeWorld, however due to the crashing of the servers from overload (due to the amount of people buying it at once...) , the servers went down shortly.

Those who bought it, told me it was 20 Dollars USD for CubeWorld
    ...

    >20 Dollars for Cube World
    >20 Dollars
    >20 USD.
    >20

20 Dollars for a game in Open-Alpha is CRAZY. Especially since it is an INDIE-GAME! Minecraft was out for what 10 USD? during their Beta/Alpha stage!

As much as I want to buy CW, 20 USD is a fuck load of cash for a game that is sure to have bugs and glitches as it is the public testing of the server.

It is a bit disappointing that they put the price so high already. How much is it going to cost during the Official Release? 30? 40? possibly 50?

    It's crazy thinking about it.

Just so you all know, I am not cheap, and I do have the money to purchase CubeWorld however, I simply wanted to rant at how much it costs so early in its game-life.

Are you joking me? This guy spent 2 years making this. You honestly can't deal with spending $20 for a game that will constantly get updated with no other costs.
Minecraft is simple, much simpler, and it's $26 bucks yet it's so laggy and poorly optimized. It's still popular as fuck. "It's alpha though!" so what? That makes absolutely no difference. Buy it now before prices rise? You're not obligated to play right after your purchase. You can go ahead and wait till you think it's better.

You can do what I am thinking of doing.

Watch in game plays. Tempted? Buy it

If there is a cracked version, try it. Like it? Buy it

Not enough money? Share with a friend. Then buy it

    Dont like it? Leave it.

Some people like these games. I myself have not viewed how the game is like,so I am not one to judge its worth.

But if its not good, there wont be a hype.

Soooo just chillax. You could also work to get some money to purchase it :)

I'm more than aware of how customized of a game CubeWorld is,
however it doesn't really make me stray from my opinion of an Indie-Game costing 20 dollars being a bit.. outrageous.

I am more than happy, to spend 20 dollars on CubeWorld (since it's generally not alot) but its a considerably high-amount for Indie-Games. Many other Indie-Games start off at lower prices for Alpha, and tend to generally rise.

I am simply a bit disappointed that it's 20 dollars from the Get-Go, and a bit disappointed that the price will be rising after it is released (somewhere going from 40-50 dollars. I'm simply estimating). Many hyped games such as Skyrim, and many other games with a more hard-core integrated gameplay, better graphics, and more cost the same amount.

Note, that I will not know the official price when it rises, and I am simply estimating.

I simply personally think that the price is going to be a bit expensive if they plan on having future purchases after the game is out itself especially for kids that may be getting it.

Simply my opinion, please don't take it personally. Thanks.

So what if it's an indie game? Is it fun? Is it enjoyable? Yes
Is Skyrim fun? is it enjoyable? Yes.
You're essentially paying for brand name.

Let's not assume, shall we? Because it makes a person look absolutely ignorant. Estimating that it'll be 100% more of the current price is terrible estimation. Do you have experience with Picroma and their pricing? No, nobody does.

I suppose I shall wait and see how it goes.
Hoping to get a copy sometime today after their servers go back up.
